Continued from my previous post here.
Imagine a valley , hidden between towering mountains. You are standing on a grassy land as far as you can see, only boundary are the mountain. For the next day and night, that is where we stayed. In Nubra Valley.
We went to a camping resort. That was one of the prime highlights of the entire tour. We got to experience the nature up – close and personal. They were a series of tents, water and weather proof. The amenities were present to comfort the city dwellers- minus the so called useful distractions of entertainment. That is because the nature is so enjoyable and a gracious host for the people who are willing to enjoy. 🙂
We were mesmerized by the colors all around, invigorated by the fresh air and pleasantly put to sleep by the peter-patter of the rain drops on the roof of our tent.
We sat on the open field watching the mountains in the fading light of the day. Sunset came with the rays coming with beautiful colors through the clouds. In the evening , we watched the clear sky, the stars shinning brighter than ever, as if we were watching the evening sky for the first time in our lives.

From within our sleep, we heard the rain coming deep into the night, and heard it stop early morning, to find the same mountains surrounding us snow capped by now. A surprised pair of eyes looked at the mountains thinking the tents had flown down to a different place during the night while she slept a quiet and peaceful sleep.

The flowers in the grass assured that they had seen them before, and that this was the same magical plains…
such a wonderful place and such a beautiful narration!!

I wonder how exciting it was… Living in a tent in the valley! Wonderful post! Ladakh I on my bucket list. Can you please tell the tour plan you followed, from where your tour started and the total cost from the pick up point? I am also thinking about joining a women only tour.
