Getting Leh ed and other stories.. ;)

To most of us, the name Ladakh brings pictures of mountains with shades of grey and blue skies, with a black patch of straight road running till the eye can see. The next picture we find is inevitabley, the blue waters of Pangong Tso (lake). But to a lot of people, the places are also the people, the people you interact with, and perhaps we remember those, whose warmth makes us feel at home in those remote places. My story of Ladakh is also one which contains the people along with the places and various experiences. And you are welcome to take a ride along with me in this journey down memory lane. πŸ™‚pic01

One of my friends asked me to write about this journey in this blog. One of the main reasons, I have taken my time was that the trip was not just another fun, leisure trip. It was a desire of the heart, that I awaited eagerly for almost five years to fulfill. And I forgot the long wait , because in a big way, it seemed that the wait was worth it. πŸ™‚

By now, you can probably guess how and where it all starts…and if you think I am going to start from my home town, you are probably right! πŸ˜€
