Andaman Dreams – Anthropological Museum

After visiting the Marine museum, we went to the Zonal Anthropological Museum. We had an informative session on the indigenous tribes of Andaman. We had an idea about them, but had a great experience seeing the pictures pointed in the IMG_01maps. There was a real size local boat made by the Shompen hanging from the roof, which is really a work of art. It makes me think how they were able to curve such neatly solely by hand… We saw some utensils and weapons used by the tribes, their shelters etc. Photography is prohibited there , hence could not take any pictures of them.
Next , we went for a bit of shopping in the government shopping center, the only place in Island, where you can legally buy a shell.
This was the last day of the trip. We were a bit  tired and decided to come back to our hotel for lunch. We had a plan in the evening as well… 🙂
